About Me

Hello Everyone!  Thanks so much for hoppin’ by! I hope this blog not only serves as a resource for your classroom, but also as a way to connect with other teachers. Please leave comments or questions about my posts along with ideas that you do in your classroom.

My Educational Background:
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Grades PK-3 Regular Education, and Birth to Age 8 Special Education, in the summer of 2005.  That summer I was hired to teach Kindergarten.  Teaching Kindergarten has been my lifelong ambition since I was in Kindergarten.  I owe a lot of that to my Kindergarten teacher and my mom, who taught for 35 years and instilled the love of learning into me.

After taking a lot of professional development in math, I decided to go back and get my masters in Reading.  Through this program I learned a lot about the development of children with reading and writing.

My Family
I currently live in Wisconsin with my husband, 2 children and our beagle, Maddy.  My husband and I were married in July of 2006, in March of 2011 we welcomed our daughter, and in May of 2013 our son was born.  We love spending time at our family cabin on the boat, in the water, and relaxing around the bonfire.
